African Agency For Integrated Development Uganda (AAID) remains a Registered National Non Governmental Organization in Uganda dedicated to empowering and promoting the welfare of the poor in communities through Education, Training, and Provision of basic services (including clean water, sanitation, health and food security) improving household income and promotion of Human Rights.

African Agency for Integrated Development was formally known as Community Empowerment Initiative (CEI) due to restructuring of the organization, and other changes in the development of the organization, the name had to be changed to AAID.

AAID was formed in 1998 by members from different fields of community development with the mission to empower the marginalized and needy people among the community to come up with the sustainable low cost and gender responsive solutions to their problems and the vision of improved living conditions of the community through implementation of long term sustainable programmes.

we thank all those whose generosity and those who support us through finances and all those who compliment our efforts to enable us achieve our set goals. We thank our working teams including Volunteers who have offered their time and energy to facilitate the ground and practical facilitation of the programs in various departments.

We also thank the beneficiary communities for all the in-kind contribution that has given us a boost in these programs. We also thank our International Partners who have donated funds and materials to boost our work. We are sincerely grateful to all of you in your respective capacities. Your contributions have been vital towards all the success and progress that the organization has earned. without which, we would not have been able to serve at this level we have reached.

Background of the organization

African Agency for Integrated Development (AAID) was established to vigorously stimulate local community for social progress and economic development. 

             I.    Location

 It  has its head quarters in Kampala, Uganda. It has its regional office in  Fort Portal western Uganda / Rwenzori region and operate in nationally in Uganda.

          II.      Nature

It is a voluntary non partisan, non Government organization which encourages professionals, qualified persons to provide services to the needy community on voluntary or low cost and promote development through advocacy, Lobbying, implementing development programmes.

       III.      Mission

To strengthen the marginalized and needy among the community to come up with sustainable, low cost and gender responsive solution to their problems.

       IV.      Vision

Effectively transformed living conditions of Ugandan community through information dissemination and implemented long term sustainable programmes.

OBJECTIVES

• Raise community awareness on primary health and STD s/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.

• Promote poverty eradication strategies through water supply, sanitation, Modernization of Agriculture and skills development.
• Promote social and economic welfare of  the community i.e promotion of tourism in Uganda.
• Enhance proper community management of natural resources with emphasis on increased women participation and sustainable development.
• Advocate for human rights for the vulnerable with emphasis on children, disabled and women.
• Carry out activities of climate change
• To make any other appropriate measure to further the above objectives.
